Hey, everybody, this is Casie. Casie, this is everybody.
Casie is my oldest daughter. She used to sit in my first studio, which was a travel trailer jammed full of recording devices and a computer, recording her own voice, pretending to be a radio dj. The trailer had it’s own cable, power, and sewer connections. She would camp out in the trailer on weekends, and she even voiced a PSA when I worked in radio…She was six, I think.
She did a fine job last week, and is back again, today.
In a weird, house of mirrors moment, we realized, today, that the show is Casie, bringing you an interview where I interview HER. Then, I throw the show BACK to her, in the studio.
All this is to say: My kid is doing a creative thing. She is trying to set value for her creative efforts. This is a difficult thing…Our friend Dave Eichenberger says “All our creative work has value, don’t undervalue your work.” So go visit her Etsy Shop, and value some of it!
Here’s a little gallery of her work, and a link to her Etsy Shop, TheBeachBunny:
She also wanted to bring two other Etsy Shops to your attention:
And Alex Parker‘s amazing woodburning art!
I’ll be working, Friday, on a Music Cast that will be pretty amazing, and different than anything we’ve done before…Even though the artist has been on before. I think you’ll like it.
Saturday, make sure and give generously to the Flood of Hope Benefit at Tapas on Ridge, and at the Brews (and wine!) on the Bayou benefit for YFA…I’ll be at both.
Corey is playing music at Gill Dawg, for the YFA benefit, and Alex is going to join him for some tunes. Good times! See you there.
Thanks for the night off, kiddo!
