NINETY PODCASTS. That’s crazy…It’s become a sort of “Wax on, wax off” Mr. Miagi exercise, for me. I make them every day…I have TOLD myself to make multiple casts one day per week, to give myself a day off. That has only happened ONCE, and it was because I was terribly sick and NEEDED to rest up.
I don’t even want to call it a routine…It is more meaningful than that…It is a daily commitment to get up, learn something, share it with you. Before it GETS shared, I have to talk to others, read up, write some, and often speak the words several times alone, to get the feel for what I want to say to you. I want you to know, I am enjoying it. The muscles are working well. I almost never panic about what the podcast will be. There are nights when I really don’t know that til midnight! But it keeps working out. It keeps WORKING. People keep tuning in.
Tonight’s podcast touches on my love for Jimmy Buffett music and culture…It might not make sense to YOU, but Jimmy was writing songs about people and places I knew, when I was a kid.
Turns out, a whole LOT of folks travel to the Keys the first week of November to celebrate that love, and some of them will be stopping here in October for a “Pit Stop” day of fun, music, and such at Gill Dawg, in Port Richey…Great catch, Gill Dawg!
Our interview, today, is with Lia Gallegos of “Rock the Boat Productions“, a promotion company she operates with partners Kira and Kacey Atkinson, right here in #NewPortReally. Lia is here to share details about the Railroad Square Block Party, happening downtown Saturday from 12-5…I will be there, so come on out, meet the neighbors, and say hi!
Have a great Thursday, we’ll chat again, tomorrow!
