Yeah, that didn’t take long, did it? Friday, the Pasco County Sheriff issued the first ever ‘spooky clown advisory’ for Pasco County:
This statement was a response to this social media post:
Within 24 hours, they had to issue a SECOND advisory, telling people that they would be prosecuted if they submitted FAKE threatening clown reports:
I guess it’s hard to take clowns seriously.
Oh, also…In case anyone doesn’t recognize the closing music on the podcast:
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right…
Big event weekend, and we were in the thick of it! We started off at Tapas Gastro Lounge on Ridge Road for the Flood of Hope Benefit. Lots of donations came in, and some excellent prizes were raffled off…We even scored a visit and a chat with Barry Horvath, candidate for County Commissioner, and fairly frequent guest on our show:
Athan Monk came by, and played some tunes, too! He is also our featured guest on the So Local Pasco Music Cast, this week.
I then headed out to Gill Dawg for Brews and Wine on the Bayou, a fundraising event for Youth and Family Alternatives. GREAT turnout, great event! Many tiny beers were consumed. Many appetizers eaten. Many songs were sung. It was a fine day, too!
That gave me a chance to talk to Erik Soujanen about some of the upcoming events, at Gill Dawg…See the flyers, below, and watch for me at these events.
Here is the confirmation that the KKK is actively distributing recruitment flyers in our community. It’s a shameful and despicable thing, and we’ll talk later in the week about it.
