Just so you know, I got more than one negative message about our medical marijuana coverage. In person three people have warned me that covering this will cost me listeners. That it might cost me advertisers. That I could get hassled by the cops. I suppose they were actually concerned, but it came across as what the kids on the internet called ‘concern trolling’.
A concern troll might write, “I don’t think it’s wise to say things like that because you might get in trouble with the government.” Or, “This controversy is making your side look disorganized.”
So don’t concern troll me. Don’t do it. Disagree with what we are saying? Fine. Say THAT. Be brave enough to tell me you don’t think medical cannabis is a good idea. However, if you bring that mess to me, you better come correct, and be able to explain your reasoning, and back it up with data. I damn sure will, and you risk public embarrassment if you roll out some Reagan era drug war nonsense.
That ship has SAILED, and we all now know that pot is NOT a gateway drug in any meaningful sense, and it is NOT killing our kids.
Along with the letters and emails about medical cannabis, I also received a question about the confusing solar amendments on our ballot, this year. Here is the simple version of how we think you should vote on these:
Our friend Corey Cottrell from the Baboon Room is having himself an amazing month…He is really cranking out content on the Baboon Room, and playing music on FB live for bigger and bigger audiences. Today, he RE broadcast my interview with Denise Houston, which was pretty cool…He also rolled out his new logo, now with 100% more baboon! Click the image to visit his page.
Don’t forget, we are recording Athan Monk for the Saturday Music Cast Wednesday, 7:30, at Anything Music, in New Port Richey.
