Wednesday was a good day. Whistling down the road through stifling heat, encased in an air conditioned tour bubble. Corey Cottrell of The Baboon Room joined me for a quick circle round west Hernando County. Honest, we were back by 2pm!
The studio is very busy…Editing my podcast, a couple of other podcasts, the Saturday Music Cast, two new commercials, and teaching someone how to use their audio gear. Good day, indeed.
Brian Anderson joins us
Today’s podcast features Brian Anderson, the founder and CEO of Veterans Alternative in Holiday. We’ve been after Brian for the show for quite awhile…He is an extremely busy guy, and we’re grateful he took the time to tell us about the outstanding programs offered to veterans at the center.
I loved learning that his mom sent him a book on social work, and it moved him to serve his fellow veterans after his military service. Here’s a short video about the kinds of therapies offered at Veterans Alternative:
I had previously met Janel, and finally, Tuesday, met Hero, a service dog I had heard a little about. Unflappable is how I would describe Hero. In a busy, noisy deli, underfoot. He went immediately to ground and slept soundly for our visit!
