So Local Pasco, June 29th, 2016. Backyard Chicken Policy. No, it’s not a new band.

Another great day!  My weekly visits to the Westside Deli are so fun…Great people, GREAT food.  I mean, look:

THIS is what you want your deli to look like! PACKED. So good.

Not something I would try unless asked to...Magnificent! Black rice, beans, peppers, vinaigrette.

Best Reuben in TOWN. Requires a fork, because it is so packed, stuff will fall out.

Today’s interview is a discussion about the potential for almost all Pasco County residents to be able to keep chickens in their backyards…Even in urban or suburban areas!  This would be a BIG deal, and Travis is committed to making it happen.  YOUR chance to weigh in comes next Tuesday, at the West Pasco County Government Center, as the Food Policy Council holds an open workshop on shaping a “Backyard Chicken Policy”.  Please listen, and attend if you can.  Even if you are NOT in favor, your voice is welcome and important!

I will be at the meeting...and going to Westside for lunch, after!
