We took our show on the road, today (yesterday, actually), and recorded live at the Westside Deli on Little Road. We broke our “20 minute barrier”, too!
That’s because so many people wanted to talk to us about the Westside Deli. I was actually only able to include ONE of the customer interviews, but a number of people stopped by the table to talk about how much they love Westside, and the food, and the people that work there, and the food. Also, they all say the FOOD is great!
I was introduced to Westside Willie, the mascot that gets taken all around the world by Westside Deli regulars:
I met a TON of folks today who eat at the Westside Deli multiple times per week…And it isn’t JUST the location…A following this dedicated happens because you care, and you work your ASS off, and you make good stuff!
The deli is frenetic (as it SHOULD be), and the owners and employees all thrive on that hectic rush action…Most good food people do.
Oh, and again…I am an OLD deli hand, and I don’t miss many sandwiches. I have been to the Westside Deli three times, and hit three home runs: The Reuben is fantastic, as are the Moose and the Bite, which I had today…Boar’s Head roast beef with cheese and horseradish sauce, on pumpernickel…YOWSAH!
So…Give the show a listen. Then, get in your car, and go have a great breakfast OR lunch at the Westside Deli! It reminds me of the Lucky Dill, back in the day: Small, friendly, fun, and a great spot for deli action.
The Westside Deli is located at 7611 Little Road, directly across the street from the Pasco County Government Center. They are open Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
You can also reach them by phone at (727) 845-3354.
Oh, and also…The Westside Deli will be providing our box lunches for the Marine Science Camp Boat Day for Grownups! Don’t miss it!
