So Local Pasco Podcast, May 16th, 2016. How I Make a Podcast Edition

So…It’s a slow news day.  It happens.  I spent some quality time with some quality people, today…Seeing off a friend’s mother, who I’d only met once.  I have to tell you…And I have told my loved ones:  When I go, don’t waste a lot of money on flowers and caskets and preachers.  Just…Have a party.  Cover the pool table with food, gather round, drink and smoke, laugh and cry, and tell stories about me.  About US.  I DO have a playlist, however…A sort of requiem mass in music.  Aside from some songs that will make you cry, have a blast.

Rest in Peace, Agnes Latanowich:

I fine send off, today. A lot of people, eating, drinking, remembering. And so it goes.

Today’s podcast is a bit of behind the scenes action…How I write, produce, edit, and voice the So Local Pasco podcast.  The show you hear is the result of somewhere between  2 and 3 hours of work, every day.  The majority of that time is in the writing…Both the script, and then the blog post that accompanies each podcast (what you are reading, now).

Sometimes, the blog post reflects the podcast, sometimes (as today), it contains a small, separate story.

  1. From Lisa -Founder : Prayers to her family. Smitty, I agree with your thoughts on the subject of the end of our time here, my daughter has been told and it is in writing my wishes when my time comes ~ no viewing of my shell in a box ~ cremate me and don’t buy one of those urns to put me in ~ instead there are environmentally friendly bio-degradable earth and sea boxes you can place my ashes in ~ take me on a fabulous cruise somewhere in the Caribbean and celebrate the entire time my life’s achievements and all the good times ~ then sprinkle me on a beautiful Island or cast me into the waters to be recycled back into the planet. The circle of life. Lisa’s tombstone will say, “Boy did she LIVE !”

Feel free to leave a comment! Be nice, though, or the banhammer shall fall.
