So Local Pasco Podcast, April 18th, 2016. Anything Goes Edition

Anything Goes logo final
Anything Goes is a fast moving, HUGE machine of a production.  There is a lot of tap dancing.  A lot of voices.  A big orchestral production.  I am not a theater guy…I’ve been in maybe three productions, ever, and NONE since just after high school.  I think I could do dramatic theater work…But lord knows, you don’t want me singing.

My singing SOUNDS as alarming as this picture LOOKS.

My nephew called me, and asked if I would say a few words about the play he was going to be in.  I said yes, of course.  He then asked if I’d talk to the Theater teacher who is directing the play, Mr. O’Hara...And we had a GREAT talk, Friday.  I’m excited for him, the cast, the crew.

Hes obviously handsome, like his Uncle Greg.

SEVENTY people in the cast and crew, most of them high school students in the band and theater departments.  WOW.  That is a lot of musical kids, and we talked about how to encourage kids to sing and dance, and the ridiculous stigma that persists.  I was a band kid. I know.

So, here are a few pics…And I HAVE TO MENTION that Mr. O’ Hara is a TOGETHER chap.  He sent me a press release, production costume stills, and an amazing audio clip of a music rehearsal.  THAT is a pro move.
