Yep. It’s true. Lots of loquats and loud music, this weekend, for your intrepid So Local Pasco podcaster. I hung out with bikers, farmers, promoters, musicians, and even a politician or two. I got around. I got BUSY. I got my hands dirty, and I got to support a club that does great charity work on behalf of foster kids AND parents, here in our community.
There isn’t one highlight, but there WAS a favorite moment…When Corey and his friends began the build up to “What I Love”…One of Corey’s originals I had never heard. Oh, my. So wonderful. This is real, organic, ORIGINAL music, being played at Overtime Sports Bar, in Hudson. Magical. The clip does not do it justice…Here is the complete video:
And that, by the way, is how we are going to do video, from now on: Ourselves.
More music…This is the life of a troubadour…Don Middlebrook is that, in the best sense of the word. A touring, original musician, playing his heart out for people who are busy eating lunch 😉
I promise…I’ll refrain from any more loquat talk for at LEAST thirty days…However, I heard rumors about an Okra fest and a Collard Green Jamboree, so….
Found myself at Gill Dawg in Port Richey TWICE this weekend. Good music, good times!
Finally, check out NewsPortRichey, a PRINT media website that has the same idea that we do: Local news and information is best served by local interested people!
