WARNING, I may have left a bad word in this podcast.
Peaceful day, fun day, busy night!
I got a call Monday afternoon from our mad genius friend Corey Cottrell, who does a podcast called The Baboon Room…Corey is also one of our favorite local musicians…He was featured on our “So Local Singer/Songwriters” Saturday Music Cast, a couple of weeks ago.
Corey runs at about an enthusiasm level 9 all the time…He has a million things going on, including sails on his kayak, and candlelight birthday dinners on boats for his wife…
In between, he gigs, both as a solo act, and with a band. He cooked up a reunion gig with his friend Dan Ellison. They’ve known each other since childhood, and played music together in Canada for five years or so.
This is the kind of interview I love best…Where we get to be silly, and a little profane…I REALLY enjoy interviewing people that know each other (mostly bands, it seems), and are sharing their OWN moments, while we maybe make a NEW moment for all involved.
Tomorrow, catch Travis Morehead, community garden coordinator and all around awesome enviro-guy, as we talk about the Loquat Festival, happening this weekend at Frances Avenue Park, in New Port Richey.
