Thursday was all about meeting people, and making things happen! From the “Lunch and Learn” meeting at the New Port Richey Business Incubator, to the first comedy night in Hudson that any of us could remember, it was a cracker jack day.
GNPR Main Street‘s new Director, Misty Botorff unveiled her plan for the continued revitalization of downtown New Port Richey, and a move to re-emphasize inclusiveness. The slogan she chose is “Everybody’s Downtown”, and the dual meaning is very much intentional. It is OUR downtown…I jokingly refer to “Beautiful Downtown Hudson” in almost every podcast…But downtown New Port Richey IS the only ‘downtown’ in West Pasco!
I was excited to meet with the ladies at Rock the Boat Productions, and discuss bringing lots of fun and meaningful events to So Local Pasco Country…Lia, Kacey and Kira took over Pasco Ecofest a couple of years ago, and are aiming to make it a vibrant, local event…And we at SLP aim to help in any way we can!
We kick of THAT effort by announcing we will be helping to promote the Railroad Square FREE Block Party on March 12th!
I finished my ‘work’ day by spending some time with one of my favorite bands, Letter of Intent…Because they are playing for FUN, loving rock music, and entertaining YOU!
They let me know they are donating this FINE Jay Turser Les Paul copy guitar to the Inspire Foundation, who we talked about a few weeks ago! They heard the plea, and dug DEEP to help out kids with special needs in Pasco County…Really, guys, I cannot thank you enough for your love and support!
Of course, it’s FRIDAY, so we want to take a moment to thank our sponsors at The HandleBar, Hudson, for their encouragement and support of So Local Pasco! They’ve got The Truth Band and Rebel Soul this weekend, along with Mark Shane, so get out there and enjoy some live rock and roll music!
Tune in this afternoon at 3:30pm eastern for So Local Pasco TV, from WeBeamTV and Tampa Bay Multimedia!
