Did you know there was a television studio, in downtown New Port Richey? I have been working on Main Street the last five years, and I had no idea. I found out while I was at a Christmas party, just three weeks in to making So Local Pasco podcasts.
The details are in the podcast…But John Gaston and I talked for an hour or so, in December. I was pretty new at this, and still a little insecure about who we were reaching, and if we were reaching anyone, at all (I had not even discovered how to count subscribers, and thought I only had about FIVE).
He apparently dug what I said. Also, as any TV producer will tell you, you need to ‘fill the clock’ with programming.
So, I think he figured I’d be a good fit…It’s clear to me he listened to the podcasts, because he wants me to do THAT on TV…He knows what I am trying to do, and is going to support that. I am excited and terrified…Excited because being on TV gives me a wider audience, and access to some really interesting guests I might not otherwise get, and terrified, because I am responsible for getting, scheduling, and interviewing guests, as well as writing the content.
It’s going to be a wild ride. Don’t be surprised if I start an additional blog to document the process of making TV.
It’s very late, and I have had a busy day…My mind is going a million miles per hour…Here’s some pics of the TV studio:
