Today, we are going to hear about a NEW event, the Pasco Waterfest, as we check in with new friend, and fellow Jack Harris fan Kristin Perrott Tonkin…Kristin is part of the Bayou Business Association (I called them the Bayou Business GROUP in the podcast), and she operates the Sunset Landing Marina on the Pithlachascotee River, in New Port Richey.
Kristin is here to tell us about a brand NEW event, coming in February, the Pasco WaterFest, taking place along the Cotee River in late February. This is an exciting followup event, by the same group that brought you Paddlepalooza, last year (and YES, that event returns this year, as well!)
There will be an attempt to break a world record for the biggest ‘raft up’ ever attempted…When boats tie up together, usually for parties. The attempt will require over SIXTEEN HUNDRED watercraft, so get involved NOW, and find out how you can be a part of history!
For more information on these events, click either image, above…Or you can call Kristin directly at the number in the podcast. Make sure and tell her you heard about this on So Local Pasco!
A quick word about the weather, related to the Tuesday So Local Pasco podcast: We can expect some potentially severe weather on Friday morning, through about mid-day. There is still some uncertainty about HOW severe, but keep an eye on local weather forecasts and warnings…Remember, not ALL of our bad weather happens during hurricane season!
